However, according to BBC News, a lawsuit has now been filed on behalf of the publisher, claiming that the upcoming fines will not help the companies allegedly harmed.
“The CMA is currently investigating Google’s anti-competitive conduct in the field of ad tech [online advertising algorithms], but it has no authority to force Google to compensate those who lose,” said plaintiff Charles Arthur, his writing to a file.
“It is only through the courts that this wrong can be righted and that is why I am bringing this case.” (CAT). Important to the lawsuit, CAT has confirmed that all relevant publishers are involved in this lawsuit unless they explicitly opt out.

This £3.4 billion (US$4.2 billion) lawsuit is his second in the UK against Google over its ad tech online advertising system.
