Inside sources indicate that Samsung is actively developing support for Android 14 on its upcoming Galaxy Watch 7 chip, known as Exynos 5535. This version is being referred to as “Wear OS 5” in multiple contexts. While specific details about the Wear OS 5 update are scarce at this stage, it aligns with the trend from the previous year, where comprehensive insights into the update’s key features are likely to surface post the release of Google’s Pixel Watch series. The transition from Wear OS 3.5 to 4.0 showcased subtle changes, prompting anticipation regarding the outward alterations, if any, in Wear OS 5.
In a parallel development, Android TV also adheres to an annual release schedule, evident from the Android TV 14 Beta launched last summer. However, the Chromecast with Google TV lineup continues to operate on Android 12, raising questions about the synchronization of updates across Google’s diverse ecosystem.
