OnePlus is back with a Nord launch, and this time the spec sheet is actually interesting. The Nord 6 goes official in India on April 7, and if you’ve been waiting for a mid-ranger that doesn’t compromise on battery, this might be worth your attention.
The big number: 9,000mAh
The 9,000mAh battery is the headline feature — considerably larger than what’s typical at this price point, and paired with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging, it actually makes sense. A massive battery with slow charging is frustrating. A massive battery you can top up in under an hour? That changes the day-to-day experience.
Performance
The Nord 6 runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage. That chip shows up in some solid phones — the Nothing Phone (3) among them — so expectations for everyday performance are reasonable. It’s the same chipset found in the Poco F7, which turned heads for its ability to handle gaming without breaking a sweat. Whether OnePlus can match that thermal management is another question, but the hardware foundation is solid.
Display
The Nord 6 bumps the refresh rate up to 165Hz — the same figure found on the OnePlus 15 — on a 6.78-inch panel. The 1.5K AMOLED resolution means sharp visuals whether you’re gaming, streaming, or just scrolling. One thing to note: some people online are grumbling about a camera downgrade compared to the Nord 5.
Camera
The Nord 6 carries a dual camera setup with a 50MP primary shooter and a 16MP front camera. Nothing revolutionary, but enough for daily photography and social content. If camera performance is your top priority at this budget, the Pixel 10a will likely be worth comparing notes on.
Price and Colors
The Nord 6 is expected to be priced under ₹40,000 in India. It comes in three colors: black, silver, and green. RAM options will include 8GB and 12GB variants, with 256GB storage, though no 512GB option is confirmed.
