OnePlus is gearing up to launch its latest TWS earphones, the OnePlus Buds 3, in China alongside the OnePlus Ace 3 smartphone. Anticipating the launch, OnePlus has provided a sneak peek into the design of the upcoming true wireless earphones and unveiled their color options. While the official price is yet to be disclosed, interested buyers can currently reserve their OnePlus Buds 3 in China. These earphones are expected to follow in the footsteps of the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, introduced in January earlier this year.
In a recent Weibo post, OnePlus officially announced that the OnePlus Buds 3 will make their debut in China on January 4 at 2:30 pm local time (12 pm IST) concurrently with the OnePlus Ace 3 launch. The company revealed that the earphones would be available in two colors – Clear Sea Blue and Space Grey (translated from Chinese). The earphones are already listed on the company’s website and are open for reservations, though the pricing details are yet to be disclosed.
The design of the OnePlus Buds 3 aligns with the flagship OnePlus Buds Pro 2, featuring a semi-in-ear design with a glossy stem and matte silicone ear tips. However, the new earphones boast a monotonous color scheme, deviating from the dual-tone appearance of their predecessors. The storage and charging case of the upcoming OnePlus Buds 3 display a squarish shape, reminiscent of the older model.
Earlier in November, the OnePlus Buds 3 reportedly made an appearance on India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) website and the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) database. According to the listings, each earbud may house a 58mAh battery, while the earbuds’ storage case is expected to include a 520mAh battery with 4.5W input and 1.2W output support. Leaks also suggested an impressive 33 hours of battery life with the case.
Additionally, the OnePlus Buds 3 are rumored to feature 48dB Active Noise Cancellation (ANC). These earphones are likely to support Bluetooth 5.3, Google Fast Pair connectivity, and dual-connectivity. Furthermore, an IP55 rating for dust and splash resistance is anticipated for added durability.
