Outlook for Mac is now Apple Silicon native, adding support for Outlook.com accounts, Gmail, iCloud, Yahoo, and other email providers that support IMAP.
The app is also optimized for Macs running Apple Silicon and supports Handoff so iOS users can continue what they started on their Mac.
Other features of Outlook for Mac include a calendar entry widget, native notification support, and a “Preview” option in the menu bar for quick viewing of calendar entries within the app.

Microsoft also plans to support focus mode in the future. This will allow Apple users to create profiles and fine-tune notifications and other aspects of their device.
Outlook Profiles prevent unwanted notifications at inappropriate times, allowing users to focus on important emails. Plus, Outlook gives you additional options to make important emails stand out.
With Focused Inbox, the app automatically sorts important and unimportant emails and lets users find them with a toggle above the message list.
Users can pin messages to keep them on top or hold non-urgent messages for later. It also adds options for categorizing, flagging, and adding frequently used folders to the Favorites section.
