Motorola Edge 60 Pro Review: A Flagship Challenger with Flair

Motorola Edge 60 Pro

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro isn’t just another midrange Android phone — it’s Motorola’s boldest attempt yet to redefine what users can expect under ₹30,000. With a blend of aesthetic finesse, flagship grade internals, and thoughtful software, it’s a device that punches well above its weight.

Design & Build: Premium with Personality

Motorola continues its design forward approach with the Edge 60 Pro. The Pantone certified colourways — especially the Dazzling Blue — are not just eye catching but also tactile, thanks to the nylon like textured back. The subtle fragrance infused into the packaging (yes, really) adds a quirky, boutiquelike unboxing experience.

Despite switching from aluminium to a plastic frame, the phone maintains a solid feel and shaves off weight, coming in at just 186g. It’s MILSTD810H certified and boasts IP68 and IP69 ratings, making it one of the most rugged phones in its class.

Display: Vivid, Bright, and Curved

The 6.7inch POLED panel is a visual treat. With HDR10+, 10bit colour, and a peak brightness of 4,500 nits, it’s easily viewable even under harsh sunlight. While it drops the 144Hz refresh rate of its predecessor in favour of a more battery friendly 120Hz, the fluidity remains top notch.

Performance: Dimensity Done Right

At the heart of the Edge 60 Pro is the MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Extreme, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage. This combo delivers snappy multitasking, smooth gaming, and efficient thermal management. Whether you’re editing content or juggling social apps, the phone keeps up without breaking a sweat.

Cameras: Versatile but Not Flawless
  • 50MP main sensor with OIS
  • 10MP 3x telephoto with OIS
  • 50MP ultrawide with autofocus

Daylight shots are crisp, and the ultrawide doubles as a macro shooter with impressive detail. However, lowlight performance is decent but not class leading. The 50MP selfie camera is a standout for vloggers and video calls, offering sharp, well balanced images.

Battery & Charging: Endurance Meets Speed

With a 6,000mAh battery, the Edge 60 Pro easily lasts a full day and then some. It supports 90W wired and 15W wireless charging, though the latter feels a bit underwhelming compared to rivals. Still, a full top up in under 40 minutes is a win.

Software & AI: Clean, Smart, and Customizable

Running Android 15 with Motorola’s light touch, the UI is clean and bloat free. Moto AI features like voice based automation and contextual suggestions are helpful, though not as advanced as Google Assistant. The Moto Connect suite continues to impress, especially for creators who want seamless PC integration.

Verdict: A Near Perfect All Rounder

The Motorola Edge 60 Pro is a thoughtfully designed, performance packed device that delivers where it matters. While it skips on expandable storage and has a few minor trade offs, it’s arguably the most well rounded phone in its segment.
