Samsung is likely to launch the Galaxy A38 5G next year as the follow-up to the Galaxy A37 5G. A fresh leak says the phone won’t get any camera upgrades, so the rear setup would carry over unchanged. The Galaxy A37 5G reached India in March this year with an Exynos 1480 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery.
Leaked camera specifications
GalaxyClub reports that the A38 5G will reuse the camera hardware from the Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A36. That means a triple rear camera with a 50-megapixel main sensor, a 12-megapixel ultrawide lens, and a 5-megapixel macro camera. The front camera for selfies and video calls is tipped to be a 12-megapixel unit. If the report holds up, the A38 5G will offer fewer camera changes than earlier A-series generations did.
Samsung is expected to launch the A38 5G together with the Galaxy A58 5G, possibly in March or April next year. The company hasn’t confirmed a launch date or pricing, though the phone is expected to cost more than its predecessors.
